I believe we can create a more generous world through connecting to our core values and building strong relationships. This mindset drives me to take on a variety of challenging and creative educational roles with purpose and excitement.

Teaching Artistry

Becca continues to pursue their love of creating, inspiring and encouraging young people through teaching, playing, and sharing. She aims to provide an open and safe space for developing youth artists’ creative expression as they are empowered to find and use and their voices! She loves to teach creative drama, theatre classes, movement, and drama integration in the classroom. With their background in stage management, Becca is also developing teaching resources for beginning stage managers.

Becca has experience working with young people ages 8 weeks to 21 years old. She is currently the Education Coordinator at Writers Theatre where she teaches arts integrated programming in Chicago Public Schools for 3rd-12th grade as well as onsite creative programs at Writers Theatre in Glencoe for all ages.

Becca has done teaching artistry work with Childsplay Theatre Company, Mesa Arts Center, The Children’s Museum of Phoenix, Design and Arts Corp ASU, Emerald City Theatre, and more.

Arts Education Administration and Fine-Arts Camp Leadership

Is it too cheesy to say a picture is worth a thousand words? The photo on the left, taken on the 4th of July summer 2019, may say all you need to know about Becca’s work in the arts admin world. She has been described as “seriously silly.” All is to say, she takes her work seriously, but doesn’t find the need to take herself too seriously.

Becca served as the Program Director at Havaya Arts, a start-up fine-arts Jewish overnight camp in Southern California. Prior to that she worked for two summers as the Camp Coordinator at Emerald City Theatre’s largest day camp location. Before that even, Becca was the Unit Head for the fine-arts program at OSRUI for two summers, where she was a counselor for three summers, and a camper for five.

Needless to say, Becca’s love of all things arts eduction runs long and deep! In what other field can you sing, create schedules, take a dance class, run a meeting, mentor an emerging teaching artist, call parents, order 100 canvases, and drive a 10’ truck all before 4pm?
